Backyard Lizards

We have Lizards everywhere in our backyard and we have discovered they are very social(but hard to catch). They like to peek out from under the air conditioning unit and watch the kids play. So we built a little fence around our tomato plants(to keep the bunnies out) and the lizards thought it was a new place to explore and would crawl under the fence to get in and climb through the fence to get out. Only problem was the squares on the fence were to small for their back legs to get through and they would get stuck. So Mike being the nice guy he is would have to use wire cutters and clip the fence to free them. In the process of freeing one he was able to catch it and let the kids touch it. Quincy loved touching it and guess who didn't want a thing to do with it...yep, Ashlyn!! I wonder where she got that from....not me! Ha ha ha

Visiting Aunt Kay

Here are a few pictures from when we visited my sister in Utah. Mike was out of town for work and so for the past two years we have planned to go and visit then. Thanks Kay for keeping us for just over a week. We love visiting you guys and miss you already!!
Quincy was in love with their cat Mushu. He would follow him everywhere. The poor cat couldn't eat without him in his face. He really is the best cat I ever know(and I don't like cats)!

We went to a couple of Chandler's baseball games(which by the way, was Ashlyn's favorite thing we did). He is getting to be a really good baseball player. I know that next year he will be hitting home runs and pitching no-hitters!! Way to go Chandler!

Favorite Beach pictures

Here are a few of my favorite beach pictures. There is something so peaceful about the ocean. We have loved living so close that we can go in the evening for a sunset or make a last minuet trip in the day with just the kids and I.

My favorite people!

Isn't that just the cutest cry face!

Those blue eyes match the ocean.

I love kisses from this baby!

Can you tell what she is? Yes, a sand mermaid!

Digging for China!

Loren & Vickie came for a visit. This was the end of the beach trip and Q was tired and cranky.

Life in Cali

Since moving to California we have been able to experience many new things and snails are one of them. Quincy is madly in love with snails! I can still remember the first time he found one and with no fear or hesitation he picked it up and examined it. It was cute at first but got old real fast(snail guts are so hard to get off)!

Look how excited he is about finding it.

Don't worry she wouldn't touch it even if you paid her!
Just egging her brother on!

Maybe I can get it with my foot!

The foot didn't work so I guess I'll use my fingers!

Got it! I didn't get anymore pictures cause I freaked and threw the snail in the bushes!

Easter 2010

WOW! I never knew how hard it was to take pictures until we had Quincy. I can't get him to look at the camera for anything. So this was the best picture I got!
We moved to California a couple days before Easter so things were a little crazy. My birthday was the Saturday before Easter and we decided to take a trip to San Diego to celebrate, so we didn't end up decorating eggs until late in the evening. Hopefully next year we've settled in and things are a little more organized...although we still had a great time.
Quincy thought the eggs were awesome to throw(anything round-ish is a ball to him)!
She is so artistic!
On Easter day we went to church and then come home and had a Easter Egg hunt in the backyard. The first egg Quincy found, he picked it up and walked over to the basketball hoop and shot it in! The future looks great for this kid!!

Bribery....is it bad!?
Yes, that is a huge piece of candy in Quincy's mouth. It was the only way to get him to look up for the picture.
